It's a dog's life in the office

LEGENDARY spoon-bender Uri Geller has another pet hobby - his dogs. And Uri is one of thousands of people who will be taking their dog to work on Tuesday. Take Your Dog to Work Day is part of the Blue Cross animal charity's awareness week (October 4-11) which aims to highlight the health benefits of owning a pet and promote responsible ownership.

Supporters pay £5 for a fundraising pack and take their pooch to work. And in case you think it's cruel to subject Rover to the stresses of modern office life, recent research by scientists at Warwick University has shown that a growing number of dogs suffer separation angst as a result of being left at home all day by owners caught in long-hour cultures.
